Thoughts on immunizations...

Is there anything that can make you smile faster than a laughing child or break your heart as quickly as a crying one?

Cruz had his 6 month check up yesterday. Along with the check up came immunizations. Along with immunizations came tears.

As much medical advancement that is out there why can't immunizations be given in an oral form! Why painful, tearful shots!

Mother's Day

Now I finally understand. The love for a child is like no other love. I have love for so many people in my life. But there is no love like the love I have for Cruz. A child is the best gift God could ever give to us. And now I understand how much love my Mom has for me. I understand why she goes out of her way to do nice things. I finally understand.

Happy Mother's Day to my best friend!

I love you Mom!

Van Gogh Quote

"If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle."

Yummy for My Tummy

Week 1 Menu - Peas = Yummy

Week 2 Menu - Green Beans = YUCKY
We gave up after the second day of crying, eye squinting, shaking head & more crying (it was funny to watch though!)

Week 2 Revised Menu - Carrots = Yummy

Roll Over

This past Wednesday we FINALLY saw Cruz roll over. He has done it behind our backs several times but we finally saw him do it...and I was really excited we saw him do it together. I was afraid someone was going to see him before I did. I did not have the camera handy so all I got was the end of the performance.

Thanks Aunt Judy for my quilt...

As you can see I have been getting a lot of use out of it!
